Meet your Fitness Curators:

"Every drop of sweat should tell a story."

Larry Twohig –Founder of Fitness Curators

For as long as he can remember, Larry has obsessed over physical culture and the abilities of the human body. A man of method, his attention to detail brings a systematic nature to his training, making it as much a science as an art.  He has worked as a personal trainer, and has been owner and operator at renowned gyms and boutique fitness facilities for over 17 years. Along with competing in international fitness contests, he has hired and developed hundreds of trainers in Manhattan. His notoriety earned him invitations to present various fitness programs in Europe, Asia and Australia, where he served as Editor of IRONMAN magazine for two years.

When this family man is not developing new programs and working with his trainers and clients, he shares the responsibilities of raising three children with his wife, Dena. He enjoys good movies, a nice glass of wine or a cold beer, Shake Shack, a good bone-in filet, lounging on the beach, restaurant bar seating, and the challenges of professional car racing.

Dena Twohig Certified Personal Trainer

Dena is the embodiment of possibility, and wants clients to walk away from their sessions smiling. She believes that with a smart strategy, diligent mindset and enough hard work, (and a dose of reality), we all have the potential to get close to achieving the body we desire.

For more than 10 years, Dena has been bringing high energy, positive motivation, and something new and exciting to each training session. She is a specialist in weight training and pre- and post-natal programs. As the mother of three, she understands the demands of a busy family and a hectic schedule and is especially sensitive to building programs around her client’s daily demands. She also knows, first-hand, how consistent strength training during her pregnancies facilitated healthy and drama-free deliveries followed by quick recoveries.

Even though petite Dena can deadlift double her body weight of 100lbs, she wants clients to understand that striving for strength doesn't equal bulk for it's better to lift big to get small.
